Probably not. It's not something that can be fixed overnight, obviously. I know I'm being too optimistic about it. But having nightmares is, well—you already know. You don't get enough sleep, you wake up tired, and it creeps into your life in little annoying ways even when you're awake. So having a potential tool to deal with it sounds too useful not to try, to me.
But if someone falls into your nightmares and you don't want them there, just kick 'em out.
