Negative Trait: Self-destructive
Because of Ruby's intense loyalty, as well as her codependent nature, her behavior can often be considered self-destructive. During the chapter where she finds out that her brother is the doctor that she so dearly loved in her past life, Ruby finally admits that many of her more cruel actions after she found his dead body caused her a great deal of pain. She had been trying to channel Ai's habits to become popular, and while effective, often lead to a great deal of PTSD because she'd see Ai's murderer in the crowd and there would be an expectation that something similar could happen to her.

Along with that, Ruby has a tendency to seek out the things that hurt her. This is shown when she dons a disguise and goes to spy on her family from her past life. When she sees her old mother happy, smiling with two kids that were born after she died, it hurts her because she realizes that she never saw her mother smile like that for her or be that happy. In this case, she was desperate to find some kind of motherly love, even if it was from a parent that wouldn't even know who she was now. She wasn't thinking about how much it'd actually hurt her. She has her wants - like being able to just be happy on stage and being an idol in her own right - but when coupled with things like her loyalty, codependency, and impulsiveness... she's far more likely to override those wants and needs.

All of this is purely because she thinks she can get something better if she does these things, but it never works out for her in the end because they aren't her actual true wants and needs. It is because of this that Ruby is, unfortunately, a self-destructive person that sometimes needs someone (who is, in many cases, Aqua) to help guide her back to a reasonable situation and remind her of what she has on her own, rather than relying on the people of the past to help her get to where she wants to be in life.
